This forum, which brings together the community interested in Internet governance in the region, will also feature adjunct activities that will complement the main sessions of both days.<\/span><\/div><div id=\"magicdomid304\" class=\"ace-line\">\u00a0<\/div><div id=\"magicdomid372\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">For this edition, LACIGF has partnered with a group of local organizations from different sectors such as: <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>Fundaci\u00f3n Datos Protegidos, Internet Society Chile Chapter, Derechos Digitales, Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile (DCC-FCFM), NIC Chile and Fundaci\u00f3n Kamanau<\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">. It is also supported by <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>Movistar<\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">, which will provide the venue for the event at the <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>Telef\u00f3nica Building<\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">. We thank these organizations for their interest and dynamism in the preparation and development of this regional dialogue on issues of Internet governance and digital policies.<\/span><\/div><div id=\"magicdomid308\" class=\"ace-line\">\u00a0<\/div><div id=\"magicdomid378\" class=\"ace-line\"><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">This year, <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>LACIGF <\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">has implemented innovations with respect to the definition of the agenda, calling for the postulation of sessions, which is open until August 11. We invite all interested parties to <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>submit their session proposals<\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\"> and to contribute to this space for discussion and joint construction. For the formation of this committee, 74 applications were received from 20 different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The selection process was carried out by the <\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z b\"><b>LACIGF Multi-Stakeholder Committee (CMPI)<\/b><\/span><span class=\"author-a-z79z0aq5z87zbz89zjz88z6yz77zz73zz85zz85z\">, which evaluated the applications considering aspects such as experience, geographic, multisectoral and gender diversity.
