In addition, the management team should have the ability to ensure proper compliance with the <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eventos.lacigf.org\/en\/bylaws\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bylaws<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and to efficiently complete in a timely manner all <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eventos.lacigf.org\/en\/lacigf-secretariat\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">tasks<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> listed on the LACIGF website.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is expected that the proposal offers evidence of how the applicant would execute in a committed, efficient, objective, and transparent manner the functions of the LACIGF Secretariat in service of the regional Internet community.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>B)<\/strong> The tax regime will be the one that applies to the candidate organization in accordance with its legal constitution and the jurisdiction in which it operates.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the selection criteria defined and published on the website, the following requirements are established:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ability to efficiently receive and make international payments in multiple currencies.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ability to manage resources transparently, prepare budgets and financial reports.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tax regime, financial structure and type of legal constitution of the candidate organization should meet the two criteria detailed above.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>C)<\/strong> In accordance with the LACIGF Statutes, the Secretariat will be in charge of executing the guidelines provided by the Multi-Stakeholder Committee and being accountable for its work to the same body. Also, the Secretariat, as an executive, operational and coordination body, will offer its services and support to the activities carried out by the Workshop Selection Committee and the Intersessional Working Groups. The coordination, interaction, and work mechanisms between the Secretariat and other LACIGF bodies are outlined in the <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eventos.lacigf.org\/en\/bylaws\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bylaws<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the regional forum.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>D)<\/strong> No, a process with the objective of training and promoting the immersion of the applicant organizations in the LACIGF processes has not been considered. It is expected that the new Secretariat of the regional forum, under the leadership of the Multi-Stakeholder Committee (CMPI), will advance in the implementation process of the different bodies, mechanisms and guidelines established in the LACIGF <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eventos.lacigf.org\/en\/bylaws\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bylaws<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This process allowed the definition of new operating mechanisms for the regional forum aimed at reinforcing representation and participation levels by establishing distinctive roles for the different LACIGF bodies, including the Secretariat.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Program Committee has been working on the transition process that will allow the implementation of the new structures and roles for LACIGF. One of the first steps in this process will be the selection of an organization to perform the functions of the Secretariat and which will assume the responsibility of advancing in the application of the mechanisms established in the new Bylaws.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of this date, a consultation period will be open during which organizations interested in performing this function may express their interest and ask any questions they may have regarding the process or its founding documents, which will be shared on this website.
