Course on Internet Governance promoted by the University of Chile
The third version of the online course Internet Governance and International Relations: regimes, trade agreements and global prospecting, organized by the Institute of International Studies (IEI) and NIC Chile (ccTLD.CL), both entities of the University of Chile, was held from July 22 to 26, 2024.
This course discussed the fundamental concepts of Internet Governance and its link with the various disciplines of International Studies, reviewing the institutional framework, actors, regimes, international security, human rights and contingent global debates, with the participation of multiple experts who shared on these and other relevant issues of Internet governance, and with the participation of 25 scholarship recipients of different nationalities supported by LACNIC.
The LACIGF Secretariat was present at one of the sessions, sharing updates and news on the regional forum, as well as inviting participants to participate in the 17th edition of the LACIGF to be held in hybrid format in Santiago de Chile in November 2024.
We congratulate the organizers for the successful completion of this edition of the course that strengthens the Internet Governance ecosystem in the region.
